This person or entity (“we”) is the data controller for Im Netzwerk (the “Service”) under Article 4(7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your name (required) and, optionally, text you paste in from your own LinkedIn or Xing profile (a headline, About section, or job title). We never scrape, crawl, or programmatically access LinkedIn, Xing, or any other platform — everything comes from what you type or paste yourself.

This is used to (a) generate your satirical scorecard and famous-personality match, and (b) process your one-time €2 payment. We do not collect your email address, physical address, or any other identifying information beyond what you choose to submit in the name and profile-text fields.

Processing your name and profile text is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you choose to submit this information and initiate a scan. Processing your payment is necessary to perform the contract you enter into when you pay for a scan (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Your name and profile text are shared with the following processors:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — receives your name and profile text to generate the scorecard and personality match. Subject to Anthropic’s own data handling terms.
• Stripe (if you pay by card) — your name and profile text are stored in the metadata of the Stripe Checkout Session used to process your payment, in addition to your payment details, which Stripe collects directly and which we never see. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
• PayPal (if you pay by PayPal) — PayPal collects your payment details directly; we never see them. Your name and profile text are held temporarily on our own server (not sent to PayPal) to reunite with your payment once it completes.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. Like most web infrastructure, it may log standard request metadata (e.g. IP address, timestamps) as part of normal operation.

The famous-personality match looks up a public figure’s name on Wikipedia to fetch a photo — only the matched public figure’s name is sent to Wikipedia, never any of your data.

Anthropic, Stripe, and PayPal are US-based companies. Where your data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this relies on the safeguards those providers make available under GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) — see each provider’s own privacy documentation for specifics.

• In your browser: your name, profile text, and generated scorecard are kept in session storage and cleared automatically when you close the tab.
• On our servers: we do not run a database. A small temporary file bridges PayPal payments to your submission and is not durable — it does not survive a server restart and is not backed up.
• At Stripe: retained according to Stripe’s own data retention policy for Checkout Sessions.
• At Anthropic: retained according to Anthropic’s own API data policy.

We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies. The app uses your browser’s session storage purely to run the scan → payment → results flow — it holds no identifiers beyond what you typed in, and disappears when you close the tab.

Your scorecard and famous-personality match are generated automatically by an AI model. This is explicitly satirical entertainment — it has no legal or similarly significant effect on you, is not used for hiring, credit, or any real evaluative purpose, and nothing about it is stored or shared beyond what’s described above.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
